As our publishing Department relies on the use of paper products, such as the printing of Maps, Atlases, Travel Guides and other publications, we do our best to ensure that our activities are conducted in an environmentally friendly way.

  1. For most of our printed publications, we use environmentally friendly products, such as biodegradable inks and recycled paper.
  2. We recycle all company waste, such as paper, paper cartons, ink cartridges, old printed material, electronic/electrical equipment, portable batteries, plastics, plastic bags, etc.
  3. Energy savings is an essential element of the company’s goals. Any purchase of equipment from computers, screens, lighting, air-conditions, heating etc., are energy-saving items.
  4. We educate people through our publications, articles and seminars to understand the importance of the protection of the environment and to live more sustainable lifestyles.
  5. SELAS has signed an Agreement of membership with Green-dot Cyprus, which is a Management Body of the Collective Management System for packaging and packaging waste within the Cypriot market. We adopt the message of Green-dot “We protect the environment, we secure the future”.
  6. We support charity organizations for The Nature Conservancy, conservation and environmental projects and tree plantations.

The new updated edition of the Road Map of Pafos Town and District has just been released. The Map is locally researched and produced after intensive fieldwork. It is very comprehensive, accurate and user-friendly.

The new edition includes a street map of Pafos Town (1:9.500), a Road Map of Pafos district (1:100.000) and insert maps of Polis-Latsi area, Pegeia area and Akamas, Stavros tis Psokas and Kathikas Nature Trails. It also includes a detailed index to all villages and hotels within Pafos.

On one side there is a Street Map of Pafos Town, with all street names and sites of interest such as historical and cultural sites, churches and monuments etc. Additionally there is plenty of information on public services, food and drink, accommodation, petrol stations, banks, health, beaches etc.

On the other side there is a detailed Road Map of Pafos District depicting a detailed road network classified as per the importance of the roads, all settlements classified according to population, geomorphological landforms, nature trails and lots of tourist information such as accommodation, picnic sites, camping, beaches, etc.

The Map is in English and includes over 4.000 entries and explanations and a legend in 6 languages. It also includes a detailed Index to all streets within Pafos Town and all villages within Pafos District.

SELAS undertook, on behalf of  Miliou Community Council, the Project of mapping the Community and the production of digital and printed maps.

The mapping included the recording of the road network as well as the points of interest within the village.

The mapping was made in illustrated form highlighting key buildings and local walks in  an artistic style. 

The printed maps were placed on display boards within the Community for the guidance of both locals and foreign visitors.

SELAS has launched the new updated Pocket Town Maps of Nicosia, Limassol, Pafos and Larnaka. SELAS series of Pocket Maps are the most popular Road Maps circulating in the market mainly amongst tourists. This award-winning Road Map of Cyprus is locally researched and produced after intensive fieldwork, is very comprehensive, user-friendly and frequently revised to suit the most demanding user’s requirements. It is considered to be the most accurate and up-to-date Cyprus Map in the market.

The main map at 1:250.000 depicts the island’s relief with the use of hypsometric tints and height spots. Road network is classified in categories according to the importance of roads and also includes unpaved roads. A wide range of symbols highlights various facilities, including accommodation, beaches, sport and recreational facilities, archaeological sites and other places of interest.

SELAS has undertook the Project of Nicosia Tourism Board “Walk Nicosia”, which was aiming to map Nicosia within the Walls and create maps for the special sings placed in various points within the Municipality of Nicosia for the guidance of visitors.

“Walk Nicosia” maps depict the road network, all the sites of interest in a radius within 5 and 20 minutes from the current location of the visitor enabling him/her to follow an itinerary in order to explore the city and be informed about the points of interest during the itinerary. The maps are very comprehensive, accurate, detailed and easy-to-use by the visitor.

The “Walk Nicosia” boards with Maps were designed in a modern design with quality materials and constitute an aesthetic ornament for Nicosia Municipality.
